Configuration guide for the decentralised I/O system PSSuniversal

The PSSuniversal Assistant is used for selection of the modules and for configuration of the decentralised I/O system PSSuniversal. Thanks to the PSSuniversal Startup Tool, the decentralised I/O system PSSuniversal can be commissioned quickly.

You can already perform the first cable and function tests before the plant or machine is set up. The complete periphery is already tested and functional when the control tool and the fieldbus system are commissioned. This means that commissioning work can be carried out independently and in parallel – reducing dependencies and saving time!

PSSuniversal Startup Tool

The PSSuniversal Startup Tool performs an independent periphery test on the decentralised I/O system PSSuniversal before the fieldbus systems and controller are commissioned. During this test, the PSSuniversal station undergoes a function test via the integrated USB interface without a controller connected. To assist control cabinet builders, the inputs have a status indicator to allow the wiring to be tested. The Startup Tool is compatible with Windows 7, 8 and 10.
