The EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 (MR) comes into force in January 2027 and specifies the safety requirements for machinery in the EU regarding Safety, Security and Compliance. At Hannover Messe 2026 (20 - 24 April), Pilz will be providing comprehensive information on the requirements of the MR, focusing on the growing importance of digitisation: the company will be presenting appropriate solutions such as the digital MYZEL Lifecycle Platform and the IO-Link Safety system for seamless, safe communication. The expert for safe automation also has its sights firmly set on the subject of Industrial Security, which is becoming the most important success factor for machinery safety due to increasing networking and digitisation.

The MR requires a verifiable, systematic risk assessment and consideration of security risks. In Hannover, Pilz will be presenting its MYZEL Lifecycle Platform, which can be used to store documents and certificates, for example, in a secure, structured and readily available format.
