Pilz at SPS – Smart Production Solutions 2025, Hall 9, Stand 370 – “Safety and Security in Transformation” - Innovations for the digital transformation

At SPS – Smart Production Solutions (25-27 November 2025), Pilz will be providing information on how automation solutions with Safety and Security can support and help shape the digital transformation in production. The automation specialist is premiering a new product on its stand: the digital Myzel Lifecycle Platform for management of machinery and personnel throughout the entire lifecycle. In addition, in Nuremberg Pilz will be presenting its latest additions to the Pilz IO-Link Safety system for safe, flexible connectivity – the world's first certified IO-Link Safety Master “Master IOLS” and the control unit “PITgatebox IOLS”.

New product versions for the safety gate system PSENmgate from Pilz – a wealth of options for more flexible gate safeguarding

For the safety gate system PSENmgate from Pilz, additional product versions are now available: A new version for more operating functions and another with optimised wiring for faster installation. A door handle module specifically for swing gates also adds to the system. PSENmgate scores points through greater ease of operation and more flexible installation. The new versions of the safety gate system thus include additional application areas – e.g. for packaging technology, in machine construction or for robot applications.

IO-Link Safety Master for decentralised communication in the IO-Link Safety System from Pilz - Flexible all-rounder up to field level

The rapid commissioning of modular, decentralised production plants is an important aspect of digitised industrial production. The IO-Link Safety Master PDP67 in the IO-Link Safety System from Pilz is now available for this purpose. It can be used for simple implementation of bidirectional communication up to field level. As a decentralised interface to the higher-level safety controller, it enables various connections, such as safety sensors with IO-Link Safety or even standard IO-Link sensors or actuators, for example. Users benefit from flexible, seamless and safe communication at field level, up to the highest category PLe / SIL3 – whether it's safety-related or standard communication.

Control unit PITgatebox from Pilz now with IO-Link Safety connection - Greater efficiency and safety for safety gate systems

Automation expert Pilz is now expanding its IO-Link Safety System with the control unit PITgatebox IOLS. This means that plant and machinery can be controlled not only safely, but with greater ease and efficiency. PITgatebox IOLS transmits diagnostic data such as gate status and operating state of the safety gate systems directly to the plant controller in real-time, via IO-Link Safety Master. Users benefit from reduced maintenance and operating costs, as well as more efficient safety gate systems.
